These liners are integrated directly with Aluminum engine block. They have better adhesiveness to aluminum than conventional casting cylinder liners. This is achieved through constricted shaped projections on their surfaces. Also, Spiny lock liners have lower protrusion height and higher protrusion density to reduce bore pitch and improve heat transfer from liner to engine block. Therefore they are highly effective in increasing the output of the engines.
